Sobek, borrowed the name from the Egyptian crocodile God, is a Budapest-based DJ-producer, who first dabbled in electronic music in the early 2000s. In addition to collecting records in a variety of styles, over time he has drifted more and more towards different styles of house, and his sets are still dominated by tribal rhythms and more sophisticated sounds.
He has also achieved great success as a producer in recent years, his music is regularly played by the cream of electronic artists such as Pete Tong, Ame, Dixon, Black Coffee, Solomun or the Keinemusik group, and in addition to a full spectrum of clubs and festivals in Hungary, he is also constantly touring around the world. Sobek is a resident at Citymatine and Aether Club, and founder of Complaint Kulture, launched in 2021.
